Jennifer,
I have been inclined to reach out to you on many an occasion starting from the beginning when as I took my two young girls to ECFE we would pass the police office every week. My girls would question me about your husband as they looked at the pictures in the entrance honoring your husband. We had just read a wonderful book from the library about a dog watching his owner from heaven so I would use that to explain. We attended a fund raiser at Millers one year and bought a bear in memory of Shawn. Then right before Christmas 2007 I lost my sister suddenly to a brain aneurysm, it has been a terrible loss. Left behind is her loving husband and 3 young girls. I have often read your words in various newspapers and wish her husband had someone like you to talk to. Anyway, one last thing that prompted me to finally write is that our local newspaper carried your picture telling about your book this week. On the cover, my girls are also pictured. I took it as a sign to finally write. I would love to talk to you someday if possible, I think your insight would be so helpful.

Jennifer, I appreciate what you have to say about recovering from the loss of a loved one. It's hard, and takes years. Your new book, BELIEVE, is already in my hands, and what you have to say about recovering from grief and loss is remarkably mature and poignant. I hope you don't mind, but I plugged your book and featured you as a Guest Writer on my blog today. You can check it out at www.StartingFromScratchBooks.com
