Maddi's First Time Trying Shrimp

She was proud of herself!  Finally eating shrimp like her brother (and her daddy!)

Shawn's birthday is Sunday and his mom is coming to visit us for a week. We are excited to have her here. At bedtime Maddi said her low point was that Grandma Vander Poel had to leave and her high point was that Grandma Silvera was coming. 

Maddi is also tanning like her father--her olive skin, one-fourth Jamaican. She is my beach baby...swimming like a little mermaid and catching fish off the dock I know I can survive anywhere with her. She is determined to blend into the lifestyle, wherever we go.
